Some of the 264 cyclists who set off from Southwick Park, Portsmouthon the The Big Battlefield Bike Ride, to cycle across the battlefields of France, to raise funds for Help For Heroes. When they cross the finish line in Paris five days and 350 miles later, is hoped that Help for Heroes will have reached the monumental milestone of £100 million raised since the CharityÍs inception in October 2007. Help for Heroes (H4H) is an independent British charity, founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help members of the Armed Forces who have been injured in the course of serving their country. Of the money raised to date for H4H, nearly all of it has been either spent or allocated to provide facilities and support services that benefit British servicemen and women injured in action.
