Powerboat P1 is the world's premium marine motorsport, with teams from around the globe racing at speeds exceeding 200km per hour in awesomely powerful twin engine mono-hull powerboats.

In 2009, teams in both the Evolution and SuperSport classes will compete for the World Championship title at five Grands Prix of the Sea across Europe, Asia and the Middle East, the Series' seventh season. The sun-soaked race destinations and P1's exclusive VIP entertainment village provide a glamorous and adrenaline fuelled experience, attracting thousands of spectators, celebrities, the world's media and global fan base alike.

Using the latest in production technology, P1's worldwide TV broadcasts reach more than 31 million viewers in 180 countries with coverage on more than 100 different channels including Eurosport, Sky Sports and RAI.

This year the season kicks off in Valetta, Malta on the 8th of May and moves onto to Istanbul, Turkey (19th -21st June), Göteborg, Sweden (7th - 9th August), Italy (11th - 13th September) and Manama, Bahrain (22th - 24th October).
