2009 sees the fourth edition of the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta, taking place from the 14th to the 19th September at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy, the venue for the 2012 Olympics.
This year’s Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta sees over 500 boats and 700 competitors from 42 nations competing in 13 classes. Run by the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta is open to all Olympic and Paralympic Classes. The medal races (Saturday 19th September) at this year's event will be broadcast live over the internet and on a big screen at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy.
